Bridging the gap of Uncertainty

It's been more than 2 months before I can bring myself to talk about atuk's death.

Granpa or tok Din passed away on the 4th of May 2011. He died at the age of 68 because of a heart attack.

A few weeks before his passing, tok din was admitted to Bainun Hospital in Ipoh, Perak. After the usual dialysis and check up, he went through a kidney surgery (i'm not sure about the details). It was a success and there were no complications.



That fateful May 4th evening, doc said he was free to leave the hospital. To celebrate, he bought the whole ward full of patients KFC - his favourite food :) after the meal, he took a nap and never woke up. Days later, when we went to check out his things, the nurses told us he didn't eat any, he just sat there and watched them happily.

Funny how life seems to take away your love ones without any warning. True, he was in the hospital but he was supposed to go home that very evening.

I miss you atuk. This raya would be a painful one.
